For those who may arrive early or want to explore the local area, there are numerous golf courses located just a short distance from the fly-in. In fact, one is within walking distance. However, we have negotiated special rates for those who wish to play at Mirimichi, one of premier courses in the southeast.

Mirimichi

At Mirimichi there are challenges around every fairway bend, meaning accuracy is the key to a low round on this challenging course. Deep pit bunkers, elevated greens, swathes of native grassland, waterfalls and meandering creeks—all provide more than 7,400 yards of championship level golf.

Mirimichi makes you think, forces you to react, and requires you to be at your best. Five to eight tee boxes are provided on every hole to accommodate all player levels. The streams and greens are large and undulating to challenge the mind and create an exciting finish every time a flag is pulled from the cup. From tee to green, and every step in between, you will be challenged by its championship design and inspired by the beauty that surrounds you.

Glen Eagle Golf Course

The Glen Eagle Golf Course is open to all MWR authorized patrons and the general public. Glen Eagle is an exceptional 18-hole championship course which features Tif Eagle Bermuda Greens contoured to be some of the most challenging in Memphis area. This facility offers a well-stocked golf shop featuring some of the top lines in golf such as Titlest, Callaway, Puma Footjoy and many others. Our PGA Professionals offer lessons for groups and individuals.

The course is managed in accordance with military regulations to provide personnel and their dependents an avenue of attaining physical fitness and a place to enjoy leisure time. The staff strives to provide an outstanding golf program and they will be happy to coordinate a tournament just for your group. The Glen Eagle Golf Course features: a driving range, putting green, 140-yard practice hole. Rental of equipment including golf carts, clubs, and pull carts can be arranged in the golf pro shop. Club repair is available for a nominal fee.

Orgill Golf Course

Orgill Park Golf Course was established in 1972 and is located in northern Shelby County, just outside the Millington city limits. Our course which is open to the public, offers you a serene golf setting for a round you will always remember.

Upon entering our golf course, it will transport you from the hustle and bustle of the city into the tranquility of a peaceful rural setting alongside Casper Lake. There are a variety of tee placements on our 6,436 yard, Par 72 yard course, that golfers from beginners to the seasoned pro will thoroughly enjoy. You will find that your round of golf will be complimented with beautiful scenery, nature, and great southern hospitality by our staff. We know that our course with its new and improved course conditions will become a place you will want to play over and over again.
